I have spent the last decade on trying to understand how to integrate organizational strategy with sustainability to help businesses and ecosystems transform for a truly sustainable economy. In the role of a trusted advisor, I have been engaged to help organizations and individual executives introduce what I call sustainable strategizing into business thinking and practice to become fit for the future.

 

Recent engagements as academic and strategic advisor include

  • Spearheading the content development and expert selection for a sustainability training program globally rolled out in a Big Four accounting firm
  • Coaching of senior executives in private companies to refine business  strategy, align organization, and design business transformation journeys
  • Supporting strategy and sustainability professionals on preparation for new and enhanced non-financial disclosure requirements
  • Advising professional service firms on how to establish CSR/ESG/sustainability transformation practices and impactful service offerings
  • Advising management training providers on the development of sustainability-oriented strategy and curricula

I was associate editor of the International Journal of Corporate Social Responsibility (now Journal of Sustainable Business) published by Springer, reviewer of conference proposals for the Strategic Management Society and the Academy of Management, as well as reviewer of book manuscripts and paper proposals for various academic journals including Business Strategy and the Environment (Wiley), Journal of Strategy and Management (Emerald), and Journal of Sustainability Research (Hapres).
